Services Australia offers a Child Care Subsidy to help families with the cost of approved child care.
The Child Care Subsidy is paid directly to the child care provider to reduce the fees you pay. The amount you may be eligible for depends on:
- your family’s income
- the hourly rate cap based on the type of child care you use and your child’s age
- the hours of recognised activities you and your partner do
Complying Written Arrangement (CWA)
The Complying Written Arrangement (CWA) is the written agreement made between the parent and company in acknowledgement of who is required to confirm your child’s booking and is responsible by law for all tuition fee payments.
On the first day of care, you will be required to confirm your agreed arrangement by signing a CWA. A CWA includes, your name, your child’s name, your start date and days attending.
Should there be any changes made to your child’s booking, a new signed CWA will be required by Niño ELA. Your new booking must be acknowledged via your MyGov portal, otherwise your Child Care Subsidy (CCS) may automatically cease and Full Tuition Fees will apply.
Families Cancelling Care
If you are considering cancelling care for any reason, it is a requirement that you provide us with 2 weeks’ notice in writing and that you confirm your child’s last booked day of service.
The Child Care Subsidy is tied to your child’s last day that they physically attend a service. Under the law, no Child Care Subsidy will be paid for any days after the child’s last physical attendance at the service.
If your child does not attend their last booked session of care, no Child Care Subsidy will be paid for any days after the child’s last physical attendance at the service.
Services are required under law to apply cessation of care for all booked days for absences up to 7 days after a child’s last confirmed date of attendance.
If you are unable to physically attend the service on your child’s last confirmed day for any reason, please contact your service to discuss directly.
