Q: What qualifications do I need to work at your centres?

  • If you are enrolled in a certificate 3 or diploma in early childhood education and care, you can work as a trainee.

Q: What will I be paid? / What award rate will I be on?

  • Educators are paid using the Children’s Services Award and pay rates are based on individual qualifications. At Niño ELA, all employees are also paid above the award rate.

Q: Do you offer traineeships?

  • Yes, anyone can enrol directly into a certificate 3 or diploma qualification and start working or Niño ELA can sign into a Traineeship with an Australian Apprenticeship centre as a trainee.

Q: I am a primary teacher. Can I work in early childhood education and care at Niño ELA?

  • Yes, if a teacher holds a dual registration in Primary and Early Childhood.As per the ACECQA guidelines, if you are a registered/accredited primary or secondary school teacher:

  • Yes. If over 18 years of age a working with children’s check is required. If you are under 18 years of age, a working with children’s check is not required.
