Nino ELA Preston Reaches Permanent Educator Milestone
Strengthening Community Connections and Relationships
Nino Early Learning Adventures (ELA) Preston Centre is celebrating a remarkable achievement: no longer requiring agency staff to fill its educator roles. This milestone is not just a testament to the centre’s resilience post-COVID, but also a reflection of the strong community connections and relationships it has cultivated between educators and families.
The pandemic presented significant challenges for the early childhood education sector, with many educators leaving the industry due to health concerns and career changes. At the height of this crisis, Nino ELA Preston Centre relied heavily on agency staff to maintain its high standards of care and education. Today, the centre has successfully transitioned to a stable team of dedicated permanent educators, thanks to its unwavering focus on community and relationship-building.
Centre Manager, Emma Sherring expressed deep pride in the centre’s achievements, highlighting the importance of the bonds formed between educators, children, and their families. “Our success in reaching this milestone is a direct result of the strong relationships and trust we’ve built within our community. Our educators are not just staff members; they are integral parts of our families’ lives,” Emma shared.
The commitment of the educators at Nino ELA Preston Centre is evident in their dedication and passion. Some staff members travel across the city, from distances of up to 32 kilometres, to work at the centre. They are drawn not only by their love for their profession but also by the unique and supportive environment that Nino ELA Preston centre offers.
Educator, Krystal, who travels from the other side of the city, commented, “I choose to work here because of the incredible community spirit and the strong relationships we build with families. It’s more than just a job; it’s being part of a community that values and supports each other.”
Families at the centre have also recognised and appreciated the stability and continuity provided by the permanent team of educators. Sarah, whose child attends the centre said, “The connection our child has with their educators is invaluable. It’s reassuring to see familiar faces every day and know that they genuinely care about our child’s wellbeing and development.”
Nino ELA Preston Centre’s emphasis on professional development ensures that its educators are continually enhancing their skills and knowledge, benefiting the children and their families. This commitment to continuous improvement reflects the centre’s dedication to providing exceptional early learning experiences.
As the centre celebrates this milestone, it looks forward to deepening the relationships within its community and continuing its mission of excellence in early childhood education. The leadership team remains dedicated to creating an environment where both children and educators can thrive, building a supportive and enriching community for all.
