Spooky Strawberry Delights: A Healthier Halloween Treat!

Halloween is a blast for kids, but parents often grapple with the avalanche of candy coming their way!
Why not add a spooky yet nutritious twist to the festivities?
Dive into this fun idea: Turn those strawberries into ghoulish little ghosts! 🍓👻
Spooky Strawberry Delights Recipe
Makes 8-10
Ingredients
- 1 punnet strawberries (approx. 8-10)
- 200g white cooking chocolate, roughly broken into pieces
- 1 tablespoon cream
- 100g dark cooking chocolate, roughly broken into pieces
Method
- Wash and dry strawberries if needed.
- To double boil the white chocolate, place some water in a wide dish or fry pan. Place white chocolate pieces into a bowl and place bowl in water. Bring to the boil then simmer until chocolate is melted. Make sure you don’t stir the chocolate as white chocolate can be a bit finicky and clumps with too much agitation.
- At the same time, in a small saucepan heat cream until it just starts to boil. Lower heat and add dark chocolate. Turn off heat after about 30-1min. Let sit, the hot cream will melt the chocolate. Gently stir to combine.
-
Dip strawberries into white chocolate and place on bowl or baking paper. Let cool slightly. With a toothpick or skewer, dip the end in the dark chocolate and decorate the strawberry to make a ghost face.
Enjoy and indulge in some Halloween giggles!
